We have moved on from the hotel and have begun, new and more exciting ventures, I am keeping this website up to serve as a platform for some new projects I am working on including:
In an effort, to try and help save Costa Rica's threatened environment, from rampant deforestation and over development - I have started a Costa Rica Real Estate company. As I explained to my bewildered friends, and sceptical environmentalists, I am "Fighting Real Estate with Real Estate." I have already created a Costa Rica Real Estate Blog, that has helped guests and non-guests, avoid being ripped-off. It will serve as the basis of the new Costa Rica real estate agency and you can see it here: Costa Rica Real Estate.
I am also working on another project, which is larger and involves more than Costa Rica, and will hopefully have a global environmental impact. Retirement. Retiring may be the single best, and most fun, thing you can do to reduce global warming. It was while I was in Costa Rica, that I learned the "Secret to Early Retirement", and I am busy putting together that product and website. You can see my progress by clicking here: Retirement
Surfing is being put on hold until early next year. I originally wanted to create a Surf Camp, as part of my early retirement, but I had a wipe-out. I know - its very ironic. However, I like to surf big waves, waves I would never teach on, and wipe-outs happen. Surfing is dangerous. The photo of the the baby turtle was taken by Alexi, a repeat guest and friend, on November 28, 2006 at Playitas beach in Manuel Antonio. This is the second year in a row that our guests have witnessed the hatching of a turtle nest in Manuel Antonio, not a very common occurence here in Manuel Antonio, but a very good sign that turtles are nesting here once again. The Quepoa Indians, original inhabitants of this area of Costa Rica, built turtle traps which can still be seen in Manuel Antonio National Park.
The Banana Tree Hotel borders the jungle, many species of wildlife can be seen from the hotel, white face and titi monkeys, sloths, birds of all types.
I've set-up a blog to help my guests and non-guests, receive free and un-biased advice on, buying Costa Rica real estate, investing in Costa Rica, retiring and living in Costa Rica.
