How
far is the hotel from the beach and Manuel Antonio National Park?
The Banana Tree Hotel is 1 mile from the main beach and 1.5 miles from
the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. We are a 10 minute walk
to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the park. The public bus stop is
50 yards from the hotel and the bus can get you to the beach in 2
minutes. The beach and park is a 1 minute drive.
Where are you
located?
The Banana Tree Hotel is in Manuel Antonio. Our location can be found
on this map of Manuel Antonio. If you have
a guide book that shows locations of other hotels in Manuel Antonio.
The Banana Tree Hotel is in between Si Como No and Costa Verde Hotels,
next door to Casitas Eclipse.
What time is
Check-In and Check-Out?
Check-In is at 2:30 p.m. and Check-Out is at Noon.
What is PayPal?
We use PayPal to collect online reservation payments. PayPal is a
secure processor of online credit card transactions used by millions of
individuals and businesses world-wide. PayPal is owned by eBay. More

Can you arrange
tours?
Yes. In fact if you are considering any Costa Rica Adventure tours during
your visit, we recommend that you book them through the hotel. The cost
to you is the same, we are familiar with the different tours available,
and we know the better tour companies.
What
is the cancellation policy?
Their is a one night charge for any cancellation. If you cancel your
online reservation, you will be charged one night stay, and refunded
the remainder. During Christmas, New Years and Easter Weeks, their are
no refunds or cancellations for any reason.
Do you
have a restaurant?
We offer continental breakfast, during the high season, every morning
from 7:00 - 10:00a.m. in our Rancho overlooking the jungle. We do not
offer lunch or dinner, however, their are many outstanding restaurants
within walking distance of the hotel.
What kind of
clothes should I bring?
In Manuel Antonio it is shorts, t-shirts, and sandals year round. Other
parts of Costa Rica, such as San Jose, Monteverde, and the mountains,
you may need a light jacket and sweater. During the rainy season it is
still warm but you should pack an umbrella or poncho.

Do you have a safe in
the room?
Our rooms don't have safes, however, their is a safe in the reception
available for guests to use to store their passports, money and other
valuables. Their is no charge to use the safe.
Are dogs allowed?
We love dogs, unfortunately we can't allow them as guests. People bring
their dogs with them, turn on the a.c. and t.v. and leave their dogs
alone in the hotel room, they use the hotel as a boarding facility. The
dogs know that their owners went to the beach and left them in the
room. Pissed, they then proceed to destroy the room. Sorry.
